Group Exercise

Get a group together and choose your hour. Add in an expert trainer and create your own fitness recipe; cardio machines, steps, resistance equipment, stretching, bands, balls dumbbells, sport specific training, plyometrics, kickboxing - the choice is yours. Call for group rates. Fitness Clinic also offers Circuit Classes (which are included in any Private Gym Membership). Come and participate in an upbeat hour designed to jumpstart your workout and provide some extra motivation.

Fitness Assessment

At Fitness Clinic of Los Gatos, we offer a variety of testing services to asses our clients' fitness levels.

  1. Body Composition Assessment
    7-Site caliper test to determine the body's fat to lean ratio and to set appropriate goals for body weight
  2. Cardio Respiratory Fitness
    An evaluation using 3 min. step test or treadmill test is used to determine cardiovascular health and fitness.
  3. Muscular Strength and Endurance Test
    Uses a series of pushups to assess client's muscular endurance
  4. Flexibility Evaluation
    A sit and reach measurement determines low back and hamstring flexibility
  5. Body Gem Metabolic Analyzer
    Tests the body's resting metabolic rate to more accurately determine a person's caloric needs.

All tests are compared with age and gender specific norms and are then used for goal setting.

Fitness Clinic of Los Gatos has Robert Heppe, MA, an Applied Biomechanist, specializing in 3D motion analysis, a system which evaluates body movement. Based on each client's evaluation, Robert then uses a series of customized exercises, stretches, and techniques to improve the functional ability of the body.
