Fitness Clinic of Los Gatos features Lisa Richardson, MA. RD., a Registered Dietitian. Lisa has a degree in nutrition and a graduate degree in exercise science. Lisa uses her 25 years of education and experience to counsel individuals and groups in her specialty areas of fitness, fat loss, and sports nutrition. Lisa has also worked with some of the Bay Area's leading Eating Disorder Specialists to help clients achieve a more balanced lifestyle.

Nutrition Assessments

At Fitness Clinic of Los Gatos, we offer a variety of testing services to assess our clients' nutrition needs.

  1. Body Composition Assessment
    7-Site caliper test to determine the body's fat to lean ratio and to set appropriate goals for body weight , fat loss and muscle gain
  2. Body Gem Metabolic Analyzer
    Tests the body's resting metabolic rate to more accurately determine a person's caloric needs.

All tests are compared with age and gender specific norms and are then used for goal setting.

Nutrition Analysis

Our Registered Dietitian reviews clients' health histories and fitness goals. Body Composition and Caloric Needs are determined and meal plans are developed to best incorporate the lifestyle changes which will lead to optimal results.

Nutrition Educational Seminars

Fitness Clinic of Los Gatos has assembled a group of experts available to discuss various health and nutrition topics with your staff or team. From "Avoiding Work Related Injuries" to "Fighting Fat After 40", our staff will make your seminar interactive, informative and fun.

Lisa Richardson, MA, RD, can offer seminars on a wide variety of subjects. For each seminar, participants will receive appropriate handouts and or educational items to ensure that the information received can be reinforced. Seminars are scheduled to last 45 minutes with 15 minutes for Q and A plus opportunities to meet with the lecturer briefly after the seminar for additional questions.
